Rüdiger Seidt’s dynamic steel sculptures are characterized by complex, merging surfaces and volumes, combined with a preference for bends, swings, curves and twists. Elegant and harmonious in expression, they thematize the power and tension of the pure, elementally reduced form, whose inherent energies penetrate the space via spherical curvatures and elongated stretches. With their delightful interplay of stillness and movement and their limitation to absolute form, Seidt’s works can be interpreted as spatial symbols.
